About 'Oud Conynsbergh'

In 2011, a group of friends decided to plant a vineyard in Boechout. The first vines were planted in April 2014. The plan was initially met with scepticism, but today Wijndomein Oud Conynsbergh proves that promising wines can be made in the province of Antwerp too.

The 'table of 8'

The founding of Wijndomein Oud Conynsbergh brought the dream of eight friends from Boechout to life. It began with an ambitious plan: they immersed themselves in the world of viticulture and refused to be discouraged by scepticism.

The friends completed training in winemaking and built a brand-new wine estate from the ground up. Today, they share the care of the vineyards and pour their heart and soul into the project — reviving the winemaking heritage of Boechout and Vremde, where vines were already growing as far back as the 16th century.

Behind the scenes

In 2021, we followed our estate for a full year, from vineyard to cellar — from winter pruning to bottling. This is the result: "Oud Conynsbergh, between field and pearl."
